Zinpro announces new team members
Zinpro announced the addition of two new professionals to the company’s sales and marketing team in Russia and the larger Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Nadezda Malova (left in photo), marketing specialist, and Taissia Mortensen (right in photo) dairy account manager, have joined the company to promote ongoing business growth and customer success in this vast and important animal producing region. Nadezda Malova brings more than 10 years of marketing and public relations experience to Zinpro. Taissia Mortensen brings to the company more than 15 years of experience in agriculture.

Former NFU president takes on ORC chairmanship
The Organic Research Centre (ORC) announced the appointment of former NFU president, Tim Bennett as the new chair of its Council of Management. Tim’s appointment follows the planned retirement of longstanding chair, Mike Turnbull, who has spent the past eight years both as a trustee and chair of ORC, an independent research centre for organic food production and land management solutions in the UK. Tim brings more than 40 years’ experience in the food and farming supply chain. He has served as NFU president, as chairman of DEFRA’s dairy Environmental Task Force and as chair of the Food Standards Agency.

Nedap – new appointment to join North America team
Nedap Livestock Management recently welcomed Ron Dehli to their North American dairy team as the technical business development manager. In his role, Dehli will be a resource for Nedap’s US business partners in all aspects of technical support and application. Dehli will provide training to business partners to equip them with the information they need. Dehli has spent the last 17 years working in the dairy industry.

Alltech and Keenan launch a new service
Alltech and Keenan have announced the launch of a new InTouch service that allows UK dairy and beef farmers to benefit from independent nutritional advice and support, free of charge for the next three months. Recognising the impact of COVID-19, Alltech and Keenan believe this will help livestock farmers navigate their way through this challenging time. Fergal McAdam, Alltech UK general manager says, “From April 1, 2020 to June 1, 2020, farmers without the InTouch hardware already installed can now benefit from our free, remote, over-the-phone support service. This new service has been designed to support farmers by helping measure, monitor and manage the biggest variable cost on-farm, feed.

Olmix And INRAE collaborate
Philippe Mauguin, president and CEO of INRAE and Hervé Balusson, CEO of Olmix group, signed a first framework agreement which aims at strengthening their collaboration in the fields of both environment and animal nutrition and health with the shared objective of developing sustainable and economically viable agricultural food systems. Both parties have agreed to make joint research to valorize marine algae both in animal and plant nutrition and health.

HIPRA makes its facilities available to health authorities
HIPRA, the multinational Animal Health company, with headquarters in Amer (Girona), has reached an agreement with the health authorities that will allow the principal hospitals in the province of Girona to make use of its new facilities (nearly 700 m2 of laboratories equipped with the latest PCR diagnostic technology), thus helping to streamline the management and production of results of tests for coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.
